What we hold, why we hold it, and what happens to it when you leave.
This page is in draft and is with our lawyers. Ask us for the current version before you commit to anything.
On this page
1. If we contacted you first
We find financial advisors who might want our service on LinkedIn, including through LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and through business contact data providers. We hold: your name, your firm and role, your business email address, your public LinkedIn profile address, and which of our messages you received and whether you replied.
We use it for one thing: to offer you a free audit of your LinkedIn presence. We message you on LinkedIn by hand. If you ask us to delete what we hold, we do, keeping only the minimum needed to make sure we never contact you again.
2. If you ask for an audit
Your name, email, LinkedIn profile, firm if you give it, and the time zone your browser reports, which we use to promise a date in your own business days. We use them to produce the audit and to send it to you. The audit page lives at a long random address, is not indexed by search engines, and is not listed anywhere. Anyone with the link can read it, so treat it as you would any link to your own information.
If you ask us to send it to your compliance officer, you give us their name and email address, and we email them the link to your audit. If you tell us you forwarded it yourself, we record that you did. We do not add them to anything else.
3. If you book a call
Your name, email and LinkedIn profile address, the time you chose, and anything you tell us in the booking form. We check our host’s own calendar for free times (never yours), create a video-call link, and send you a confirmation and reminders. If you book without an audit, we write one for the call.
4. If you become a client
The things you tell us in onboarding: your voice, the stories you want told, who you serve and who we must never engage, your time zone and working hours, your firm’s approval rules and compliance documents. And everything the service produces afterwards: drafts, your decisions on them, what was published and when, the monthly reports, and your messages with our team.
If your compliance officer approves or reviews your posts through our review link, we record their decisions, any notes and when they made them.
We contact you only within the working hours you set.
5. When you sign
When you sign your agreement, we record your name and email address, that your email address was verified, the date and time of each step, the internet address you signed from, and a fingerprint of the document.
6. The people on your target list
To find conversations worth joining we keep a list of people per client: a name, a public profile reference, why they matter to you, and when we last engaged. They are public professional details. We do not buy lists of private data, and we contact no one on your behalf except as the service describes. Your do-not-engage list is treated as confidential: it can reveal who your clients are.
7. If you choose Managed access
This is the part most worth reading.
On Managed access you give us your credentials and we operate the account. Then:
- they are held in a per-client vault, encrypted, never in plain text, and never in an email, a document or a spreadsheet;
- one named person on our team holds your login and operates your account, from a dedicated browser profile, on a connection in your region, during your working hours; others on our team prepare the work but never log in;
- we use no automation tooling on it;
- when you leave, or whenever you ask, we stop immediately, delete the credentials, and ask you to change your password, and we tell you the date of the last action we took, so your record is complete.
Sharing an account is contrary to LinkedIn’s User Agreement. We say so here, on the offer page, and again before you choose. The choice is yours.
8. Who else touches it
- Our team. Everyone who works on a client’s account signs a confidentiality agreement before they are assigned, and we record who is assigned to each client and when. Some of our team work from the Philippines.
- Stripe handles payment and holds your card details; we never see them.
- An email delivery provider sends our emails.
- A calendar and video provider runs booked calls.
- Infrastructure we rent runs our own systems.
We prepare your drafts, both the text and the images, and a person on our team reviews and edits every one before anything is sent.
We do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not share your information with other clients.
9. How long we keep it
- Clients: while you are a client you can read and download your record at any time. The approval record and the monthly exports are the record your compliance officer may need years from now, so we keep them for seven years from the end of the year you leave, and then delete them.
- People we contacted: if you never replied, we delete your details 12 months after we last contacted you, except the entry that stops us contacting you again if you unsubscribed, which we keep so that we never do.
- Everything else goes when it is no longer needed. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what we hold about you.
10. Asking us
You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Write to hello@advisoraccelerator.co. Someone on our team answers, not a form.
Your compliance officer is welcome to read this before you sign anything. It is written expecting they will.
